Searching for a firm where it will be possible to undergo a period of training is usually the first step to take if you want to join some course/work experience training The student can be helped by 4IM, which puts comprehensive adapted logistics at his disposal:
Students admitted at the Institute but who could not find a firm for the start of the new academic year in September, still have 2 months to sign a contract. Each student is accompanied by a business tutor , firstly to help him to apprehend the occupational world, the firm where the work experience placement will be possible and its context, then very quickly to acquire professional skills, in particular the ones which are necessary for the execution of the project and to keep a job. Each student is joined equally by a tutor, 4IM teacher, in order to think about his occupational future and follow the progress of his training.
It is difficult to define best how long work experience periods should last. A compromise taking account of many parameters (the necessary time of students to adapt themselves, the optimisation of the trips, the recommendation of the firms/teachers, the analysis of experience, .) has been reached:
