Well trained young people, knowing the business world well, creating the link between the world of "jobs" and the world of the IT system - where computing occupies a dominant position ; These are the new needs of businesses.

For new needs, a new school.
4IM doesn't get in a muddle with a history

4IM adapts the techniques (quality standards, strict processes, involvement / motivation of the parties, .) coming from the occupational circles (like its founders) to train tomorrow's people in charge, in order to come up to the firms' expectations.

A sound training course

4IM develops the students' abilities in 4 directions :
An engineer's rigour
A marketer' s sensibility
A salesman's will
A strong personality

4IM assists the students in the process of their studies, helping them to choose their options, their work experience and surveying their progress.
So, each student “grows”, year after year, integrating his qualities, his limits and his aspirations. It is the very versatility of the training and the time spent listening to students and to the assessment of the student’s abilities which are the key factors of success.

Applying to join the school

At the 4IM Institute, the process to be "taken" implies an application form and individual interviews of major importance. This process gives students -whose school reports are sometimes average - the opportunity to show their talents, and convince the examiners of their potentialities.

Organization of the course

4IM classes are organized around two identical semesters. A seminar abroad marks the beginning of the second semester. Each student can make the most of the months of July and August to have an optional work experience, follow a refresher course or go back to his firm.

The first year but also the first semester of the second year focuses on acquiring essential knowledge in the domains of information technology, management and administration.

From the second semester of the second year onwards, the student chooses a specialization, commonly called a Line of Reinforcement of Employability (LRE), in order to personalize his knowledge.

Students assessment

At the 4IM Institute, the assessment of students is done through conventional methods, class exams at the end of semesters and continuous assessment (Multiple Choice Question papers, assessment of projects, homework, .) to validate what they already know. But 4IM sees far ahead : every student, from the first year onwards, will initiate a personal assessment of skills, followed all along the degree course by a teacher in charge of the student : his 4IM tutor.

The point of this assessment is not only to grade the students, but also to allow them to strengthen strong points and work on weak points.

The assessment which is applied is done following a double system, the ECTS' s and a 4IM mark out of 20.

The student who won't carry out the educational objectives laid down by the Steering Committee of Studies will have to take the classes again through E-learning, assisted by his 4IM tutor (teacher in charge of the student). The objective for every student is to have the best educational career possible, so that he'll show all his professional talents in the way he has chosen.

The 4IM tutorial system

For the "Manager-Engineer" course, course combined with work experience, each student is joined by a tutor, 4IM teacher, in order to think about his occupational future and follow the progress of his training.

Each student is equally accompanied by a business tutor , firstly to help him to broach the occupational world, the firm where the work experience placement will be possible and its context, then very quickly to acquire professional skills, in particular the ones which are necessary for the execution of the project and to keep the job.
